DOWNFALL
A Short Film By Elliot Wright
This script was inspired by an unforgettable day I once had. In the story a young man, on his way to a date is interrupted by what seems like a fantastical event. What starts as a beautifully surreal moment, soon takes a truly dark turn - commentating on the reality of class, gentrification and the desensitisation to knife crime in London.
Think if Black Mirror did an anti-knife crime campaign - no dialogue, visually stunning, and a surprise genre bending twist that goes from surreal fantasy to real world tragedy - An Art director's dream.
