Out of 365 entries, my short film 'Don't Peek' was one of the ten finalists, shortlisted at The Shark Awards 2025: scriptwriting competition.

 

A fun, light-hearted script, all about the superstition attached to wedding dresses.​ In the story we follow a young groom-to be called Sam.

 

When left home alone, he accidentally stumbles upon his fiancee’s wedding dress, triggering an endless streak of bad luck the very moment he sees it. What starts off as a minor stain, soon escalates and snowballs out of control.

 

In a surprise twist ending Sam takes extreme measures to cover up his mess and evade the wrath of his fiancee Chloe.

Driven by action and humour 'Don't Peek' is a relatable catastrophe story that all audiences can enjoy regardless of language barriers.
